We ended Camp NanaB with a morning at the pool and an evening adventure to get ice cream downtown. The pool photos are carefully cropped to cut out any adult not willing to have a photo of herself posted on the blog. Charlotte, however, has no qualms (nor did I ask her for permission). No, I do not have any idea whatsoever why she was dancing around the edge of the baby pool singing some strange song that involved shushing babies.
Quinn hung out on the baby pool steps for most of the time. He gave his mama fits as he toyed with the idea of jumping into the big pool. Poor Steph waited and waited, arms outstretched, in the pool for him to jump, only to have him change his mind over and over again. I'm not sure if he ever did jump.
Until the very end, Petey wasn't so sure about walking around in the 1 foot, 7 inches deep water. Once he figured out that he didn't need the blue float, he had a ball.
Maisie loves splashing in the water! Those thighs kill me.
The last supper around NanaB's kitchen peninsula was bittersweet until the kids realized we had one more item on the agenda involving a certain frozen treat.
The adventure to Dairy Queen was a big hit. Charlotte ate probably as much ice cream as Quinn and Peter combined. That girl loves her ice cream.
We walked the kids through the small car show in a nearby parking lot. Peter was in heaven and tore around from car to car announcing "CAR-CAR! CAR-CAR!"
Now camp is over. Steph and her crew grabbed NanaB and GrandDad and headed up to Glen Arbor for a week of vacation. The kids and I are sticking around to meet up with a high school friend of Corey's and her daughters, and then we are going to have dinner with Granny and Grandpa in addition to all of the Pennsylvania Taylor bunch. More on that later!
