I just looked back at my blog and saw that I found out I was 1 centimeter dilated on February 12th. Charlotte wasn't actually born until March 10th, so we probably have a while to wait for Mr. Zach. I'm definitely not feeling very patient though, so I think I'm going to send Erin some watermelon and anything else that is supposed to induce labor. Too bad she doesn't like watermelon.
Tonight marks a big occasion -- our first night out with Charlotte home with a baby-sitter other than a grandparent! Our supercute soon-to-be-15-year-old neighbor, Faith Carol, will be taking charge (with backup from her parents, Alicia and Dan). Are Corey and I going out for a romantic dinner? Nope! We're taking part in a firm event for summer associates at a partner's home in Nashville. Maybe next time we can try for that romantic outing instead. Assuming we don't have too much separation anxiety. Hee hee. We know Charlotte will be in good hands though!

Have fun tonight!! Faith Carol will do an awesome job-- she seems very calm, cool, and collected.
Erin- You're so sweet! How are you feeling? I hear you're getting this thang started!
As for Faith Carol last night, she found that Charlotte enjoyed being held in her signature on-her-tummy position, while walking and singing to her. She sang Frosty the Snowman many times while CJ slowly drifted off to sleep. Then FC sat down and cradled her in the usual on-her-back position and smiled at her, saying this was the best thing ever and she would do it for free:) (It's worth noting, however, that she didn't refuse her pay at the end of the night.)
The Mayor came over and sang Frosty awhile too. Make sense there would be multiple admirers/caregivers, in true Cannonwood style.

Niki, Charlie, and I are glad that Faith Carol was her first babysitter - certainly made it easy for Niki and me to be away for a few hours . . .
Love that Alicia and Ronnie were involved - it's all Cannongood!

I'm feeling large and in charge! Sitting down and getting up from a sitting position are getting more and more difficult, and avoiding heartburn is a constant battle, but other than that, I am extremely lucky to be having such a normal, healthy, non-eventful pregnancy. I really can't complain....
Glad to hear the babysitting went well!
