Happy birthday Grandma Jo!

Yesterday was my mom's birthday, so we Skyped with her to give her birthday wishes. We even took a photo with her -- sort of!

Bath time for Booger!

Corey says Charlie inherited her daddy's figure.

Tonight was the first time she peed in the bath tub!

Whew - all done.

Weekend with Grandma B

We had a great time with Charlotte's Grandma B last weekend! Here are some fun photos she sent of the visit.

More Indiana Cousins!

Saturday afternoon, my cousins Brian and Melanie and their three boys Jordan, Brandon and Cameron, stopped by! Jordan and Brian had just run a half marathon, but they still had enough energy to come over to move some furniture for Jordan's new apartment. We're so excited Jordan will be staying in Nashville for the summer, because then we get to see him more!

Here are some photos from their visit. The first one is actually from when Jordan met Charlotte last month, but I hadn't posted it yet. Cameron chose not to hold little Charlie, so I missed getting a shot of him. All three boys gave Melanie a super hard time for speaking "baby talk" to Charlotte. Just wait until they have daughters of their own and can't resist it themselves!

Jordan's a natural with his little cousin.
Brian was able to tame the little beast.
We hope Brandon goes to Vandy so we can hang out with him more, too.
This is Charlotte's favorite new way to be held.
The boys accused Melanie of torturing the baby when she started crying. Poor Melanie is a saint for putting up with all those goofy guys.

Cranky fashion shoot

These photos crack me up. Our little fashion model wasn't exactly in the right frame of mind and took the haute couture pout to a whole new level.

Grandma B

Charlotte's Grandma B (Corey's mom, Barb) is here for a visit! Charlotte must have been so excited for the visitor, because she skipped a couple of big naps and by the evening was so over tired and cranky that we thought we would never get her to settle down. The little screamer finally wore herself clean out and zonked completely at 11:00. She slept a solid six hours even without going to bed with a full belly, and now she's in a much better mood. Cross your fingers for a better Saturday!

Corey is in Atlanta for a short firm retreat. Other than missing his little girl, it sounds like he's having a good time bonding with his coworkers. He gets home later this evening, and we'll probably have a hard time prying Charlotte out of his arms for the rest of the night. Ever seen a grandma and her son wrestle for time holding a granddaughter? We may get that tonight! Sounds like I have the night off. Hee hee.

I haven't taken any photos yet of Charlie and Grandma B, but here's a couple from last week:

Hefty hefty hefty!

Omigosh. Charlotte, my sweet little darling, weighed in at 10 pounds, 11 ounces this morning. This means she has gained over three pounds in six weeks. Holy moly!!!

Why do I even bother getting dressed?

Due to some prolific spitting up (take a wild guess as to the identity of the spitter-upper), I am now in my fourth outfit of the day and Charlie Jo is in her third. Maybe we should just go hang out naked in the bathtub for the rest of the day or invest in rubber clothing so we can hose ourselves off. My sister may have to abdicate her title (earned over 30 years ago) as the Spit-Up Queen. (I was the Spit-Up Princess.)

More Sunday photos and a fashion show

Not sure she likes the sun hat...

Dukie loves sunbathing.

Connie was pooped after romping around in the field.

Cranky, but pretty in her outfit from Aunt Steph & Uncle Don.

Deciding whether to fuss in her cute duds from Aunt Erin & Uncle Andrew. Don't do it!!

Gorgeous Sunny Sunday

Yesterday was so beautiful that we couldn't resist some time outside!

Here's a rare shot of Dukie. Apparently he's not as afraid of the camera when he's outdoors.

Charlie fits great in the Baby Bjorn.

Our neighbors Jay and Elan were out planting corn and other veggies.

We made quite a spectacle with all our gear.

Charlotte dined al fresco. Don't worry - we had her under the umbrella the whole time (except when we took this photo).

Flowers!

Charlotte's first trip to a nursery (one for plants - not kids!) was last Friday with our neighbor, Alicia. We tagged along to help Alicia pick out flowers for her yard. Charlotte, of course, slept through most of the trip, but she was widely admired by all the other shoppers.
